Unexpectedly Representative

A keeper of the past of the Virovitica-Podravina area is also the Slatina Homeland Museum. Its great collection keeps also a representative finding – bronze vessels from the 2^nd century, i.e. a jug and a shallow vessel serving to wash hands before a meal. An exhibit that catches attention is also the luxurious silver jewellery of the noble married couple from 7^th century as well as jewellery of the people of Bijelo Brdo culture and a silver coin of King Matthias Corvinus from 15^th century. There you will also find out that the Labour Day on 1 May was celebrated in Slatina for the first time far back in 1894.
